Ripley Cash

Design of Banco Ripley App

Project Summary

Ripley Cash is a financial platform that allows users to easily send and receive money.

However, the current experience presents opportunities for improvement in usability and accessibility.

This case study focuses on the redesign of the mobile application using FlutterFlow, with the goal of optimizing key functionalities and delivering a smoother and more efficient user experience.

Identified Problem

In our initial research, we identified several issues affecting the user experience. The interface is confusing, especially when viewing recent and pending transactions.

Additionally, searching for contacts to send money is perceived as a complex task.

Lastly, we found that the use of the QR code lacks clarity, which leads to user frustration.

Project Objective

The redesign of Ripley Cash aims to create an intuitive and modern application.

We want to make sending and requesting money quick and secure.

Additionally, we aim to clearly organize the display of financial transactions and improve integration to ensure an efficient user experience.

Design Process

User Research

To better understand user needs and expectations, we conducted interviewswith frequent users of the application.

These studies allowed us to identify the main pain points, such as confusing navigation and difficulty performing key tasks. The insights gathered served as a foundation for defining the redesign priorities.

Wireframes y Sketching

We designed wireframes in FlutterFlow by reorganizing the app, unifying transactions into a swipeable card with filters, highlighting "Send" and "Request Money" with primary buttons, and integrating the QR scanner into the bottom bar for quick access.

User Flows

We simplified user flows by adding a predictive bar connected to the device’s contacts, favorites for quick access, and a guided flow with clear instructions for using QR codes.

Prototypes and Testing

By creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes in FlutterFlow, we were able to test the new features before final implementation.

Usability testing with representative users provided valuable feedback. This helped us iterate on the design, refining every detail to meet user needs.

Proposed Solution

Recent and pending transactions organized in swipeable cards with easy-to-use filters.

Large primary buttons for "Send" and "Request Money," streamlining frequent actions.

Predictive bar integrated with the device’s contact list for quick searches.

QR code scanner in the navigation bar with clear instructions for better adoption and fewer errors.

Results and Conclusion

With this redesign of Ripley Cash, developed with FlutterFlow, we aim to increase user satisfaction by simplifying key tasks and reducing the time required to complete transactions. Improvements in accessibility and clarity, such as the integrated QR scanner, also aim to boost adoption of these features.

This user-centered approach, supported by modern technology, not only solves current problems but also prepares the platform to meet future needs. The result is a fast, intuitive, and secure application, aligned with industry standards of quality and scalability.
